The Horned Mage / Character Design

One thing I really appreciate about the Faerûn wiki is the absolute goldmine of obscure lore and characters that I can draw inspiration from whenever I'm writing a session. This little project started out as a simple sketch that eventually turned into a good excuse to do some character design.

Hope you enjoy my take on this mysterious ogre mage. I wanted to make him look brutal (the collar he's wearing implies that he vanquished many of his own kind to reach the top) but also find ways to hint at his malicious intelligence (the posture, the somewhat sleek boots and attire).
